The impact you’ll make
Responsibilities may include a combination of the following: Hardware Development: Directs, leads, and manages the technical activities of a hardware development function for electronic design, mechanical design and/or hardware reliability. Software Development: Directs, leads, and manages the technical activities of a software development function for software systems, applications and/or software quality assurance. Systems Design: Directs, leads, and manages the technical activities of an integrated hardware/software systems design function.
What you’ll do
* Lead, coach and develop a team of mechanical engineers working on semiconductor wafer-processing equipment through regular 1:1s, feedback and development discussions.
* Oversee team performance, workforce and resource planning, hiring, onboarding and talent development, and build a strong succession pipeline for key roles.
* Promote a team culture built on ownership, collaboration, continuous improvement and high engineering standards.
* Plan team capacity across development and program work, sustaining engineering, problem reports, obsolescence and customer escalations.
* Contribute to the technical roadmap, and present progress, risks and recommendations to senior management.
* Act as reviewer and decision maker in design reviews. Give technical guidance on design, materials, testing and validation in line with SEMI, company and GD&T standards.
