As part of the global Scientific Games Group, Scientific Games International GmbH in Vienna- the largest provider in Europe, develops and manages systems for more than 20 state lotteries in Europe,North America, Asia and Oceania.
To support our Team in Vienna, we have an immediate opening for a
Oracle Developer (f/m/d)
Tasks & Responsibilities
* Develop lottery systems throughout the entire software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, implementation, and integration, in close collaboration with developers of other system components
* Maintain, support, test, and provide operational assistance for assigned systems
* Take ownership of assigned software components and ensure their quality, stability, and maintainability throughout their lifecycle
* Follow established development standards, methodologies, and processes, including ISO 9000, Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe frameworks
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development environment, engineering tools, and development processes
* Prepare and deliver client presentations, and conduct internal training sessions to introduce system functionalities and share knowledge with colleagues as required
Requirements
* A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
* 5+ years of professional software development experience
* Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and PL/pgSQL
* Familiarity with Linux, Oracle Forms, and Oracle PL/SQL is considered an advantage
* Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, ideally gained in complex software environments
* Structured and solution-oriented approach to work
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
* Very good German and English communication skills
