SUMMARY OF DUTIES
* The mission is seeking to fill a Senior Political-Economic Assistant position for the Political/Economic (PE) program as well as various administrative positions that may arise following this selection process.
* The Political-Economic (PE) section advances the Government of Canada’s bilateral priorities and interests in Austria through strategic engagement, analysis, and advocacy. The position reports to the Political-Economic Program Manager.
* The incumbent will provide analytical, administrative, coordination, and advocacy support to the Political/Economic team. This includes, but may not be limited to:
* Coordination and administrative support services related to the PE section budget, management of stakeholder engagement, Embassy and PE events, and visits.
* Lead PE communication and public relations, including social media content. Support/lead on select internal and external initiatives.
* Support/lead research and analysis related to core political-economic interests. Support/produce reports, analyses and recommendations based on events in Austria. Establish and maintain relevant networks.
