To support our growing organisation we are currently looking for a charismatic and negotiation‑strong leader who will take responsibility for Strategic Procurement in the freight wagon environment while professionally steering our GCU Claim Management.
Your main responsibilities:
* Lead and further develop the Strategic Procurement function
* Establish, negotiate, and conclude framework agreements with Railway Undertakings (RUs), logistics service providers, material suppliers, and refurbishment workshops
* Functional and disciplinary leadership of the European GCU (General Contract of Use) Claim Handling Team
* Full responsibility for claim management in line with the GCU, including escalation handling
* Develop and implement sustainable procurement strategies
* Monitor KPIs, manage suppliers, and assess risks
* Collaborate closely with Technical Operations, Market Operations, Finance & Controlling, and Legal
You are a good fit if you have:
* Several years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally in the freight wagon industry or logistics
* Solid knowledge of the GCU is an advantage
